Ok, not so dramatic, but it was pretty surreal the way it hit.
Parts of Eastern Japan were blanketed with dust picked up and scattered by a freakish wind storm today. Of course, everyone (including myself) quickly pointed a collective finger at China filling Twitter timelines with comments like, "Thanks, ya Chinese bastards!"...
Needless to say, the afternoon was better spent indoors, which is exactly where I stayed.
Its kinda weird. When you think of the modern world, you don't really think about sand storms. And when ya do, its mostly in desert areas not several thousand miles away from a desert. Those winds must be STRONG to be able to carry the yellow dust that distance.
